High Specification in Compact Size

The focal range of 7.6mm to 167mm can be further extend to 334mm using the 2x range extender included in the lens. This highly flexible lens has been reduced in length to 221.5mm and in weight to 1.81kg producing a remarkably compact package that supports a broad range of productions.

Optical Technologies

Newly developed materials (including the high index ultra low dispersion material) combined with the very latest in element design innovations and multilayer coatings produce an unsurpassed pristine imaging system for the most discerning production team. The e-HDxs logo identifies the deployment of all of these technologies in the lens.

Digital Technologies

New third-generation enhanced digital servo systems using Canon-developed 16-bit optical rotary encoder devices introduce new creativity to handheld acquisition systems. Enhanced Digital Drive technology – encompasses a microcomputer driven servo control that embodies position memory and user-defined digital functionality to significantly empower the camera operator. A 16-bit rotary encoder for aperture control reports to the associated camera Iris control system (10-bit compatibility). Maximum Zoom speed is 0.5 seconds.
