SINGAPORE, 02 April 2018 – Canon today announced the launch of the UHD-DIGISUPER 66, a mid-range field zoom lens for broadcast cameras equipped with 4K 2/3 inch sensors, to meet the increasing popularity of 4K production. The UHD-DIGISUPER 66 delivers a high optical performance across the entire zoom range and image field, making it ideally suited to meet the wide color gamut (WCG) and high dynamic range (HDR) requirements of modern 4K broadcast systems.

The UHD-DIGISUPER 66 features a 66x zoom ratio with a focal length of 9mm - 600mm. In addition, the lens employs a built-in 2x extender that allows users to increase the zoom range two-fold, realizing a 1200mm focal length at the telephoto end. Even at its maximum focal length, the UHD-DIGISUPER 66 readily captures vivid 4K images. With Canon's Optical Shift Image Stabilizer (Shift-IS), the new lens offers the user a high level of stable imaging performance even when used for applications such as outdoor broadcasting or capturing the fast moving action of extreme sports, as well as indoor events. Akin to the operating style of existing field zoom lenses, the UHD-DIIGISUPER 66 also offers outstanding ease of functionality in handling and comfortable maneuverability when shooting on the move.

The Canon UHD-DIGISUPER 66 will be available in September 2018.
