EVF-DC1
The EVF-DC1 is an external electronic viewfinder that can be mounted to the hot shoe to allow for better composition by showing users what is seen by the sensor. Featuring a high precision XGA resolution LCD with 2.36 million dots and a dioptric adjustment range of -3.0 to +1.0, pertinent shooting information such as shutter speed and ISO which is displayed on the LCD screen is also displayed through the viewfinder.
As a power conservation element, the EVF-DC1 has an automatic eye sensor which switches on the finder while switching off the LCD when the camera is lifted to eye level and vice versa. This is ideal for both indoor and outdoor shooting, but comes in especially handy when direct sunlight makes viewing the LCD screen difficult.
