40x Optical Zoom

Packed into a skinny 4cm body, the 40x optical zoom lens provides a viewing angle akin to that of 35-mm-film formats with a focal length starting at 24mm for wide-angle. This makes it easy to shoot vast landscapes and group portraits at your travel destination. Photograph subjects further away with telephoto focal lengths up to 960mm with optical zoom, and up to ultra-telephoto distances with ZoomPlus at 1920mm. If you lose track of your subject while zooming in, subject reacquisition is easy with the Zoom Framing Assist button. It instantly zooms out so you can find your subject, and quickly zooms back into the previous telephoto distance on release so you won't miss any opportunity. From landscapes to food to group shots and faraway wildlife, this is one camera that is capable of taking in all the popular travel sights and scenes.

Selfie capabilities

Take the guesswork out of selfies with the 3-inch, 180-degree tilt-type rear monitor for precise composition, plus easy point and shoot with just one hand with PowerShot SX730 HS' slim build. With built-in optical image stabilizer, camera shake is drastically reduced when snapping photos. In Self-Portrait mode, there's the Smooth Skin mode and Blur Background feature to enhance photos for added share-worthiness. Smooth Skin mode is also available as a Scene mode, lending a more polished look to pictures of your friends and family.

Functions and connectivity

The PowerShot SX730 HS also contains features that ensures the fun continues long after your holiday. Its Date Stamp feature allows you to display date and time on your photos, making it prefect for preserving memories the next time you view the photos in print or in a slideshow.

The camera also allows you to conveniently transfer images and videos from the camera to smart devices via Wi-Fi. You can also upload directly onto social media platforms via Canon Image Gateway.
