SINGAPORE, 22 MAY 2019 – Canon today announced the launch of the imageCLASS MF641Cw, MF643Cdw, MF645Cx and MF746Cx, a new range of A4 colour laser multi-function printers (MFPs) designed to deliver outstanding colour printouts and streamlined work processes. Building on the user-friendliness of Canon’s award-winning imageCLASS MF630 and MF730 series, the latest lineup enables Small Office Home Offices (SOHOs), Small Medium Enterprises (SMEs) and workgroups within large enterprises to further enhance productivity, as well as workflow and cost efficiencies.

“Our new imageCLASS colour MFP range retains the winning formula of its impressive predecessor, combining highly sought-after attributes such as versatile mobile printing options, an intuitive touchscreen interface and more,” said Toshiaki Nomura, Director, Regional BIS Sales & Marketing, Canon Singapore. “We understand that colours play a vital role in effective business communications, and Canon’s revolutionary V2 Colour Technology is incorporated into the latest MFPs to meet the demands for high-quality colour printing. We also recognise the increasing need for workflow automation, and included a smart Application Library to help businesses streamline processes for greater productivity, depending on the varied requirements of different industries.”

Tailored to the needs of busy offices
Featuring enhanced print performance, the MF643Cdw and MF645Cx offer a swift print speed of 21 pages per minute (ppm),  while the MF746Cx delivers a remarkable print speed of 27 ppm. In addition to quick printing speeds, all models now come equipped with a high capacity 250-sheet paper tray that reduces frequent reloading for improved paper handling.

The new MFPs employ the same V2 Colour Technology as with the award-winning Canon imageRUNNER ADVANCE Generation 3 colour multi-function devices (MFDs).  Through the enriched colour profile, users can expect outstanding printouts in vivid and vibrant hues that support effective business communications. Built with a large 5-inch colour touch panel, the MFPs provide an intuitive user experience with easy and seamless navigation across the well-designed touchscreen interface.

Accelerated business operation with efficient workflows
Through the pre-installed Application Library, the MFPs present smart capabilities that automate processes and streamline routine operations at the touch of a button. Users can customise applications according to different work requirements across various industries, ranging from healthcare, banking and finance to insurance for improved workflows.

Notably, the Name and Scan application allows users to send scanned documents to pre-defined destinations and easily retrieve files saved according to specified username, simplifying the scanning workflow from multiple steps to a one-step operation. Additionally, the MF645Cx and MF746Cx include a Single-pass Duplex Auto Document Feeder (DADF) that allows both sides of a document to be scanned simultaneously, reducing the amount of time spent on scan jobs.

Designed to meet the needs of today’s on-the-go workforce, the full range of MFPs connects to Wi-Fi effortlessly and supports a wide range of mobile printing solutions such as Canon PRINT Business, Canon Print Service, Google Cloud Print, AirPrint®, and MOPRIA™. The seamless mobile connectivity enables users to perform important day-to-day tasks efficiently, and to top it off, the QR Code Scan feature ensures easy device pairing through the Canon PRINT Business app.

Improved cost efficiency for greater performance
The new range of MFPs utilise high-yield toner cartridges that allow users to print more documents in between replacements, helping businesses achive cost efficiency with increased page yield and reduced cost per print. Administrators can easily track print usage and identify potential areas for cost reduction via uniFLOW Online Express, a simple cloud-based print management solution supported on the MF645Cx and MF746Cx. In addition, uniFLOW Online Express offers secure cloud-based authentication to prevent unauthorised access and usage for added security.
