|New Canon imagePROGRAF PRO-560 Large Format Printer opens up new business possibilities with print capabilities of up to 60 by 60 inches|
Singapore, 22 January 2018 – Canon today announced the launch of the new Canon imagePROGRAF PRO-560, the largest 12-colour ink system professional photo and fine art inkjet printer that offers photo printing with a multifunctional roll system for excellent productivity. The imagePROGRAF PRO-560 expands the PRO Series models, capable of printing on media between 17 inches to 60 inches wide with consistently high print quality.
"With the capability of producing large format prints of up to 60 by 60 inches, the new imagePROGRAF PRO-560 widens the range of large format applications for professional photographers and fine art professionals to showcase the nuances in their work," said Pieter Kraan, Director and General Manager, Regional Wide Format Printers Division, Canon Singapore. "Canon strives to achieve superb colour reproduction with a wide colour gamut through the newly developed LUCIA PRO Ink system, so photo and fine art professionals need to only concentrate on their work, and leave the printing in our safe hands."
Ultimate image quality for professional users
The imagePROGRAF PRO-560 features the newly developed LUCIA PRO pigment ink and transparent Chroma Optimiser ink for printing with excellent colour expression, superior black reproduction, and good gloss characteristics.
Designed to meet the needs of photo professionals and graphic artists, the imagePROGRAF PRO-560 printer provides users with Canon's input-to-output photo printing support, known as Crystal-fidelity. The imagePROGRAF PRO-560 enables the full clarity and texture of photographs taken with a Canon EOS camera to be perfectly reproduced. This feature-rich professional printer complement Canon's professional line of DSLR cameras and red-line L-series lenses for an ideal pairing that accentuates high quality images rich in detail when reproduced on a variety of media, creating images that look as close to the real scene, as when they were captured.
Professional and consistent results for enhanced productivity
The imagePROGRAF PRO-560 printer features the L-COA PRO processing engine for high-precision image reproduction and high-speed processing of high resolution data up to 2400 x 1200 dpi. The Sub-Ink Tank feature valued by current users of the imagePROGRAF Series has been carried over to this model, which helps to reduce downtime and minimise costs by automatically enabling ink tank replacement during printing. With both black ink types active at the same time, there is no need to waste time or ink by swapping out tanks when printing between matte and glossy paper. Ink capacity is higher in the imagePROGRAF PRO-560 model and upon purchase, users can print more as the imagePROGRAF PRO-560 model comes with 330ml starter ink tanks.
A Multifunction Roll System (MFR) comes as an option which also serves as a take-up unit with bi-directional rewind, ideal for long and uninterrupted print runs and thus, offering higher levels of versatility and convenience for users. When used as a second roll, the MFR system enables users to load glossy media in one roll and matte media in the other to seamlessly print to both rolls without needing to manually switch media.
With an ergonomic compact design with a small footprint of 1999 mm (about 13% reduction from its predecessor model), the imagePROGRAF PRO-560 is ideal for print operations with space constraints.
The new imagePROGRAF PRO-560 printer will be available at authorised Canon distributors and dealers in January 2018
