New Canon imagePROGRAF TX series Large Format Printers
Canon today announced the launch of its new imagePROGRAF TX flagship series of professional large format print system, equipped with cutting-edge print technologies to deliver impeccable professional and technical prints at swift speed for higher productivity. The new imagePROGRAF TX series comprises the following five-colour system models - imagePROGRAF TX-5300, TX-5300 MFP T36, TX-5400 and TX-5400 MFP T36.
"The new Canon imagePROGRAF TX Series sets the highest standards in the large format print segment and will benefit users across industries where high resolution technical documents are essential," said Pieter Kraan, Director and General Manager, Regional Wide Format Printers Division, Canon Singapore. "The market to produce color technical drawings is expected to grow and both users of high-end inkjets and entry-level LED plotters will find that the new TX series not only meet, but exceeds their expectations by boosting productivity, usability, and security."
Redefining New Parameters in Speed
The L-COA PRO processing chips forms a high-precision control engine that performs the processing of massive image data, generates the printing data, and controls optimal ink layout. In conjunction with a new print head with 15,360 nozzles, the TX series boasts supreme and high-resolution print quality at speeds as fast as 3 A1/D-size drawings a minute.
The imagePROGRAF TX-5300 (36" model) is equipped with two rolls while the TX-5400 (44" inch model) has an optional second roll unit. This dual-roll system enables high-volume printing from two rolls of the same kind, and hassle-free switching between different media types to meet various printing needs.
The imagePROGRAF TX series also accepts rolls up to 170mm in diameter or 200m length of plain paper, complementing the productivity goals of environments where high print volume is expected. In addition, the lower unit is equipped with a multifunction roll system, which can act as a take-up unit with bi-directional rewind, enabling users to take advantage of long, uninterrupted print runs. A new optional high-capacity stacker completes the media productivity with a holding room for 100 A0 sheets, and can be easily folded up to save space when not in use.
Remarkable and Consistent Colour Reproduction
The newly developed five-colour LUCIA TD ink produces fine lines, sharp text, and vibrant colours even on plain paper. These qualities are essential for high-precision computer-aided design (CAD) drawings and posters. Formulated for resistance to conditions such as moisture and heat, printed drawings can be placed for long term storage, for viewing at outdoor construction or engineering sites, or as outdoor posters.
High Level of Security
The imagePROGRAF TX Series complies with rigorous security and encryption standards and offers a high level of assurance for users where confidentiality is concerned, especially in the CAD market. Its hard disk automatically encrypts all data with Internet Protocol security support to ensure confidentiality.
New Automated Media Loading Enhances User Convenience
A new automated media loading process helps to save time and improve productivity. With an intuitive user interface featuring a 3.5 inch colour LCD touch panel, direct USB drive print capabilities, and mobile connectivity, users can now print PDF and JPEG files directly from a USB thumb drive for fast and easy printing without the need for a computer. Additionally, Wi-Fi®* (IEEE 802.11b/g/n) capability allows for smooth and easy connection to wireless LAN in office environments.
Choices for Managing cost of ownership
The option to choose 160ml, 330ml or 700ml inks gives the user the flexibility to choose the size that best fits their needs, which can help lower their total cost of ownership. With these features, the TX Series has answered the growing demand to produce colour drawings on uncoated paper with a low running cost.
The TX series has an option for integrated MFP solution equipped with a 36 inch Colortrac scanner, that can scan-to-copy in colour up to six inches per second, and scan up to 1200 dpi to capture the intricacies of colour and details of large-format drawings.
The scanner features a generous 15.6-inch touchscreen panel, and paired with SmartWorks MFP V5 software for customisable menus and buttons to enable easy viewing and management of jobs.
The new imagePROGRAF TX series and their MFPs are now available at authorised Canon distributors and dealers.
