    How do I download the app for my iNSPiC [P] PV-123A Mini Photo Printer / iNSPiC [C] CV-123A Instant Camera Printer / iNSPiC [S] ZV-123A Instant Camera Printer?

    For iNSPiC [P] PV-123A / iNSPiC [S] ZV-123A
    There are a few easy ways to download the app:

    1. Simply scan the QR code from Quick Start Guide inside your printer box.
    2. Go to the Play Store (Android) or app Store (iOS), and search for "Canon Mini Print".
    3. Visit https://app.canonminiprint.com from your mobile device.
    4. If your mobile device supports NFC, turn on NFC and place the mobile device on the top cover of the printer to download the app.

    For iNSPiC [C] CV-123A
    There is no app for it.

     

    Where can I find the user manual?

    For iNSPiC [P] PV-123A / iNSPiC [S] ZV-123A

    1. In the Canon Mini Print app, go to the Main Menu, tap "User Guide", then select [Printer] for iNSPiC [P] PV-123A user manual, or [Camera] for iNSPiC [S] ZV-123A user manual "Instruction Manual" –OR–

    Where do I get the blue SMART SHEET™?

    A single blue SMART SHEET™ is included with each Canon ZINK™ Photo Paper Pack pouch and is specific to each paper pack. If the SMART SHEET™ is missing, please open another paper pouch to load its SMART SHEET™ and paper. Please discard any previously installed paper from your printer.

     

    Why isn't my  iNSPiC [P] PV-123A / iNSPiC [C] CV-123A / iNSPiC [S] ZV-123A turning on after I press and hold the Power Button?

    Make sure that the iNSPiC [P] PV-123A / iNSPiC [C] CV-123A / iNSPiC [S] ZV-123A is properly charged.

    1. Check that the USB cable and adapter are connected properly while charging.
    2. Press and hold the Power button until the LED indicator comes on.

     

    What is the charging time?

    Approximately 90 mins (iNSPiC [P] PV-123A / iNSPiC [C] CV-123A), 120 mins (iNSPiC [S] ZV-123A).

     

    How do I check the battery level?

    For iNSPiC [P] PV-123A / iNSPiC [S] ZV-123A:

    • Open the Canon Mini Print, choose "Settings" from Main Menu → Tap "Printers" → "Product Info" → "Battery Level".

    For iNSPiC [C] CV-123A:

    • If the battery level is low, the status LED is Red -> White (looping).

     

    How do I maintain the battery usage?

    1. Enable auto power off setting in "Printer Settings".
    2. Turn off the iNSPiC [P] PV-123A / iNSPiC [C] CV-123A / iNSPiC [S] ZV-123A when not in use.
    3. The recommend operating, charging and storage conditions are: [Temperature: 15-32°C (59-90°F), Humidity: 40-55% RH].
    4. If you don’t use the iNSPiC [P] PV-123A / iNSPiC [C] CV-123A / iNSPiC [S] ZV-123A for a long time, charge the battery once every 3 months.

     

    What is the battery life with continuous printing?

    Approximately 20 prints (iNSPiC [P] PV-123A), 25 prints (iNSPiC [C] CV-123A / iNSPiC [S] ZV-123A) after full charge under the recommended conditions. [Temperature: 15-32°C (59-90°F), Humidity: 40-55% RH].

     

    Does my iNSPiC [P]/ iNSPiC [C]/ iNSPiC [S] has automatic power off function?

    For iNSPiC [P] PV-123A / iNSPiC [S] ZV-123A:
    When the iNSPiC [P] PV-123A / iNSPiC [S] ZV-123A is not used for about 3 minutes, it will automatically power off (default). User can also change the time in app.

    1. iNSPiC [P] PV-123A: None / 3 / 5 / 10 minutes.
    2. iNSPiC [S] ZV-123A: 3 / 5 / 10 minutes.

    For iNSPiC [C] CV-123A:
    When iNSPiC [C] CV-123A is not used for about 5 minutes, it will automatically power off (default).

     

    Where do I get a blue SMART SHEET™?

    Each Canon ZINK™ Photo Paper Pack contains a single blue SMART SHEET™ inside each pouch. The SMART SHEET™ is specific to each paper pack.

     

    When should I use the SMART SHEET™?

    Every time you open a new photo paper pack, load the blue SMART SHEET™ along with the paper contained in the same pouch for proper calibration.

     

    Can a SMART SHEET™ be used multiple times?

    The SMART SHEET™ should not be used with any other photo paper pack.

     

    What if the SMART SHEET™ is lost or missing?

    If it is lost or missing, the print quality for the paper in the pack cannot be guaranteed. Please open and load a new photo pack and SMART SHEET™.

     

    What is the paper storage condition?

    Recommended paper storage condition:
    Temperature 0-25°C (34-77°F) Humidity: 40-55% RH.

     

    How many sheets can be placed in the printer at one time?

    The paper compartment can hold up to 10 sheets + 1 SMART SHEET™.

     

    How many sheets are in a photo paper pack?

    Each paper pack pouch contains 10 sheets + 1 SMART SHEET™

     

    Are there other paper packs with different quantities of paper in a pack?

    There are 2 versions of the Canon retail paper pack:

    1. ZP-2030-20 (20 sheets, 2 pouches)
    2. ZP-2030-50 (50 sheets, 5 pouches)
    • Each pouch contains 10 sheets + 1 SMART SHEET™

     

    Where can I buy paper?

    Is a microSD card required for the iNSPiC [C] /iNSPiC [S] to take a photo?

    Two conditions:

    1. If paper is installed, the  iNSPiC [C] CV-123A / iNSPiC [S] ZV-123A is available to take a photo even without a microSD card.
    2. If paper is not installed, the  iNSPiC [C] CV-123A / iNSPiC [S] ZV-123A is not available to take a photo even if a microSD card is inserted.

     

    What memory cards can be used with the  iNSPiC [C] CV-123A / iNSPiC [S] ZV-123A?

    The  iNSPiC [C] CV-123A / iNSPiC [S] ZV-123A supports MircroSD card memory size up to 256GB, file formats FAT16, FAT32 or exFAT.

     

    Do I need to format a MicroSD card before use?

    It is recommended to format the MicroSD card to FAT, FAT32 or exFAT before use.

     

    Can I save the photos to my computer?

    Yes. If a microSD card (up to 256GB) is installed, you can save photos from the iNSPiC [C] CV-123A / iNSPiC [S] ZV-123A to your computer.

     

    How do I connect my  iNSPiC [P] PV-123A / iNSPiC [S] ZV-123A Canon Mini Photo Printer to the Canon Mini Print app?

    1. Turn on your iNSPiC [P] PV-123A / iNSPiC [S] ZV-123A (press and hold the power button till the LED light turns on).
    2. Check that Bluetooth is enable on your mobile device.
    3. Select your iNSPiC [P] PV-123A / iNSPiC [S] ZV-123A in the app.
    • For first time setup please refer to the pairing mobile device section in the user manual.

     

    How do I update the firmware?

    For  iNSPiC [P] PV-123A / iNSPiC [S] ZV-123A:

    • Open the Canon Mini Print, choose "Settings" from Main Menu → Tap "Printers" → "Product Info" → Tap "Firmware Upgrade".

    For iNSPiC [C] CV-123A:

    • It is not necessary to update firmware.

     

    What if the iNSPiC [P] PV-123A / iNSPiC [S] ZV-123A doesn't work after a firmware update?

    Please check the options below to solve the problem:

    1. Make sure the battery is more than >50% charged, and try to upgrade firmware again. –OR–
    2. Press the RESET button and turn on the printer –OR–
    3. On the mobile device, turn the Bluetooth OFF and ON and then reconnect the printer. (Please refer to the pairing mobile device section in the user manual.)

     

    When can I use NFC?

    NFC is designed for app installation and opening the app. It’s not for connecting the printer.

     

    What if the iNSPiC [P] PV-123A / iNSPiC [S] ZV-123A can't be detected?

    1. Make sure the iNSPiC [P] PV-123A / iNSPiC [S] ZV-123A is powered on.
    2. Check that Bluetooth for your mobile device is enabled and ON.
    3. Check that the iNSPiC [P] PV-123A / iNSPiC [S] ZV-123A is not connected to another mobile device. If it is, disconnect the other device from the iNSPiC [P] PV-123A / iNSPiC [S] ZV-123A.
    4. Power cycle (turn off and on) the iNSPiC [P] PV-123A / iNSPiC [S] ZV-123A and try again.

     

    Why the view objects are not printed in center?

    The frame marks on the view finder are set to a view object 1 meter away. If you are taking photo less than 1 meter from your view object, the frame marks may not line up with the photo.
    Refer to online manual for detail instruction.

     

    Can I take photo during printing?

    Yes, during printing maximum 3 photos are allowed to be taken and saved to the print queue for the next print.

     

    Where is the print button?

    For iNSPiC [P] PV-123A:
    When you’re ready to print, the print icon is in the top right corner in app. If the icons are hidden, tap the arrow to expand. (For details, please refer to "Printing Photos" in user manual).

    For  iNSPiC [C] CV-123A:
    The photo will automatically print after the shutter is pressed.

    For  iNSPiC [S] ZV-123A

    1. The photo will automatically print after the shutter is pressed. –OR–
    2. When you’re ready to print, the print icon is in the top right corner in app. If the icons are hidden, tap the arrow to expand. (For details, please refer to "Printing Photos" in user manual). 

     

    How do I find photos taken using the Canon Mini Print app?

    For iNSPiC [P] PV-123A / iNSPiC [S] ZV-123A:

    • In Canon Mini Print, tap the Photo Browsing icon and locate the photo. Tap the photo to open and then the Share button to save the image to your mobile device.

    For  iNSPiC [C] CV-123A:

    • You can connect the iNSPiC [C] CV-123A to PC via USB cable.

     

    What is the printer operating condition?

    Recommended printer operating condition: Temperature 15-32°C (59-90°F), Humidity: 40-55% RH.

     

    Can I select the printout size of the photo?

    For  iNSPiC [P] PV-123A:

    • The Aspect Ratio is 2"x3" (default).

    For iNSPiC [C] CV-123A / iNSPiC [S] ZV-123A:

    • Yes, you can select the Aspect Ratio (2"x2" or 2"x3") before taking photo.
      Refer to online manual for detail instruction.

     

    Can I choose when to print or does the iNSPiC [P] PV-123A / iNSPiC [C] CV-123A / iNSPiC [S] ZV-123A print automatically?

    For  iNSPiC [P] PV-123A:

    • Yes, you can choose which photo to print via your mobile device.

    For iNSPiC [C] CV-123A:

    • The photo will automatically print after the shutter is pressed.

    For iNSPiC [S] ZV-123A:

    • The iNSPiC [S] ZV-123A prints automatically after taking every photo.
    • Also, you can choose which photo to print via your mobile device as well.

     

    Can I reprint the same taken photo?

    For  iNSPiC [P] PV-123A:

    • Yes, you can choose which photo to reprint via your mobile device.

    For iNSPiC [C] CV-123A:

    • Yes, after the taken photo is printed, while the power LED is On you can press Reprint Button on the iNSPiC [C] CV-123A to print the same photo.

    For iNSPiC [S] ZV-123A:

    • Yes, after the taken photo is printed, while the power LED is On you can press Reprint Button on the iNSPiC [S] ZV-123A to print the same photo.
    • Also, you can choose which photo to reprint via your mobile device as well.

     

    Can the iNSPiC [P] PV-123A / iNSPiC [C] CV-123A / iNSPiC [S] ZV-123A print photos from other devices?

    For iNSPiC [P] PV-123A / iNSPiC [S] ZV-123A:

    • Yes, iNSPiC [P] PV-123A / iNSPiC [S] ZV-123A can also get the photos from smartphone via app to print.

    For iNSPiC [C] CV-123A:

    • No, the iNSPiC [C] CV-123A is not avialable to print photos from other devices.

     

    Why does the print color not match the photo I see in the app on my mobile device?

    Possible reasons:

    • The "screen technology" used to display color on your mobile device is different than the "print technology" used by the printer.
    • The Canon ZINK™ photo paper may have been stored in an environment that is out of the recommended storage conditions.
    • The printer may be printing out of recommended print operating conditions.
    • The print head may be dirty.SMART SHEET™ for the paper was not loaded; the wrong SMART SHEET™ was loaded; or non-Canon ZINK™ paper is being used.

    Possible solution:

    • Make sure to use the Canon ZINK™ paper and blue SMART SHEET™ that are in the same pouch.
    • Print under the recommended print operating conditions.
    • ZINK paper should be stored under recommended storage conditions.
    • Reload the SMART SHEET™ (from the specific pouch of paper) for cleaning and calibration.

     

    Will the actual printed photo margins be exactly the same as it appears in the app?

    Approximately up to 1% of the outside edges of the photo (top, bottom, left and right) will not be printed.

     

    What can I do if the printer does not respond when I tap Print?

    For iNSPiC [P] PV-123A / iNSPiC [S] ZV-123A:
    Please check the following:

    • Check whether the Power LED is off or if it's blinking "red", Re-charge the printer, power on, and try again.
    • Check if the Canon ZINK™ photo paper is loaded in the proper position (logos facing down).
    • Check whether paper is loaded.
    • Check if the Bluetooth connection is available.
    • Make sure a print job is not pending.
    • Make sure the image has been sent completely to the printer.

    For iNSPiC [C] CV-123A:
    Please check the following:

    • Check whether the Power LED is off or if it's blinking "red", Re-charge the printer, power on, and try again.
    • Check if the Canon ZINK™ photo paper is loaded in the proper position (logos facing down).
    • Check whether paper is loaded.

     

    Can I cancel a print job?

    For iNSPiC [P] PV-123A / iNSPiC [S] ZV-123A:
    There are two situations:

    1. If the print job is being printed, it can’t be canceled.
    2. If the print job is stored and pending to be printed, press the trashcan icon in the Print Queue to delete from the queue.

    For iNSPiC [C] CV-123A:
    No, it always prints automatically after taking every photo.

     

    Can I resume a print without tapping [Print]?

    For iNSPiC [P] PV-123A / iNSPiC [S] ZV-123A:
    No, to resume printing, it is necessary to resend the print command.
    Possible solutions:

    1. Go to the Print Queue and press the printer icon at the top right corner.
    2. After reconnecting the printer, follow the instructions in the message prompt.

    For iNSPiC [C] CV-123A:
    No, there is no resume print function.

     

    What can I do if paper does not feed?

    For iNSPiC [P] PV-123A / iNSPiC [S] ZV-123A:

    • Make sure the top cover is closed properly.
    • Reload the Canon ZINK™ paper in the proper position (logos facing down).
    • Check whether the Bluetooth connection is available.
    • Make sure there is a print job in the Print Queue.

    For iNSPiC [C] CV-123A:

    • Make sure the top cover is closed properly.
    • Reload the Canon ZINK™ paper in the proper position (logos facing down).

     

    How do I clear a paper jam?

    There are two situations:
    If there is a paper jam, do not pull out the paper. Recharge the printer and then turn the printer OFF and ON. The jammed paper will come out automatically.

     

    Will the photo resume printing after clearing a paper jam?

    For iNSPiC [P] PV-123A / iNSPiC [S] ZV-123A:
    No, please resend the print job.

    For iNSPiC [C] CV-123A:
    No, please take photo again for the next print.

     

    What file formats does the printer recognize and support? Is there a photo size limit?

    • The printer supports: JPEG / PNG / GIF / HEIF (iOS only) formats.
    • The print photo size depends on the capability of each mobile device.

     

    What do the different colored lights (LED) represent?

    For iNSPiC [P] PV-123A:

    • Charging LED:
    1. Red: Charging.
    2. Green: Charging complete.
    • Status LED:
    1. White: Power on.
    2. White blinking: Printing / processing / cooling.
    3. Red blinking: No paper / paper jam / open cover / low battery / other error.

    For iNSPiC [C] CV-123A:

    • Charging LED:
    1. Red: Charging.
    2. Green: Charging complete.
    • Status LED:
    1. White: Device is on and standby.
    2. White blinking: Processing Smartsheet / preparing printing.
    3. White, then White blinking: Device is booting.
    4. Red: Device is too high temperture.
    5. Red blinking: Cover opened / printer error / no paper / paper jam.
    6. Red/White looping: Low battery, very low battery.
    7. Blue blinking: Smartsheet error.
    8. Cyan: Device is too low temperture.
    9. Cyan blinking: Printer head cooling.
    10. Magenta: Mass storage mode.
    11. Magenta blinking: SD card error.

    1. iNSPiC [P] PV-123A / iNSPiC [C] CV-123A / iNSPiC [S] ZV-123A has no response.
    2. Paper jam.
    3. Unknown errors.

     

    How do I power cycle the iNSPiC [P] PV-123A / iNSPiC [C] CV-123A / iNSPiC [S] ZV-123A?

    Press and hold the power button until the LED turns off. Then press the same button to turn it on again.
