Born in Wakayama Prefecture in 1988. After graduating from Kyoto University of Foreign Studies, he embarked on a round-the-world trip at the age of 24, visiting 45 countries in 18 months. After returning to Japan, he joined Amana Inc. and became a freelance photographer in 2016. He is traveling and shooting in polar and remote areas around the world to bring images of unimaginable landscapes to larger audience. In recent years, he has been expanding the field of his activities to the range - from 8,000m peaks in the Himalayas to wildlife, underwater life, deserts, and Antarctica, and has attained the peaks of Manaslu (8,163m) in 2019 and Everest (8,848m) in 2021.
His main books include a photo book "Between the Sky and the Earth, the borderline between dream and reality - Everest" and a new book "The Sky of Everest" In 2017, he received the Canon "SHINES" Award 2017 (Shinagawa Kazuharu selection).
