Control Ring
A distinctive feature that makes RF lenses different from other Canon lenses is the control ring. The control ring is an option on many RF lenses that lets the user quickly change settings while using their left hand, making the device easier to use.
The EOS R camera body's RF mount added a new 12-pin communication system that makes it easier for the lens and camera body to work together. This made it possible to give the lens control ring different jobs. It is possible to assign, choose, and change the AF method, white balance, picture style, aperture, shutter speed, ISO sensitivity, exposure compensation, and exposure compensation. This new lens control ring, along with the main dial and quick control dial on the side of the camera body, makes it easier than ever to use the lens. The lens control ring can be used to change the aperture, for example. The main dial and quick control dial on the camera body can be used to change the shutter speed and ISO sensitivity. After that, the person can use their left hand, right index finger, and right thumb to operate all three controls by hand while looking through the viewfinder. One great example of how Canon is always trying to live up to the EOS idea of "speed, comfort, and high-quality imaging" is the RF control ring.
