    Fluorine Coating

Photographers who work outside a lot may find that dirt or dust on the lens surface directly impacts the quality of their work. The anti-reflective coating on the lens is covered with a fluorine coating. This coating makes it easy to clean the lens of any dirt. The coating is very good at keeping out oil and water while still being clear to the eye. You don't need lens cleaner or solvent to wipe off any smudges or oil from the lens's surface. Just use a dry cloth. Also, dry-wiping lowers the static electricity that it creates, and the very smooth surface is hard to scratch.

The photographer doesn't have to worry as much about keeping the lens clean because dust or dirt on the surface can be easily and quickly removed. They can instead focus on shooting. They can be made smaller because most smudges can be cleaned off with just a blower and a cloth. For busy photographers, this new coating technology has a lot of useful features.

    Notes:

    • If dust and dirt get on the lens, you should always use a blower to clean it before wiping it with a cloth
    • If you wipe the surface with lens cleaner or solvent, the high oil- and water-repellency may make the solvent bead, which will keep it from drying and make it hard to wipe off
