An ultra-wide-angle zoom lens with a minimum focal length of 15mm, the RF15-35mm f/2.8L IS USM boasts a large-aperture design. Two Ultra-low Dispersion (UD) lenses and three glass-molded aspherical lenses work together to correct for a number of aberrations, allowing the lens to produce crisp, high-resolution images across the board. To drastically lessen the likelihood of ghosting or lens flare, specialists use coatings like Subwavelength Structure Coating (SWC) and Air Sphere Coating (ASC). Optical image stabilisation is achieved through an enhanced optical IS control algorithm and the utilisation of the Dual Sensing IS, which is equivalent to a 5-stop* increase in shutter speed. This opens up new possibilities for handheld photography by letting the user shoot with slower shutter speeds in low-light conditions. In addition to portraits and snapshots, it works well for landscapes and architectural photography. It is feasible to capture images that highlight the sense of perspective with a wide field of view without getting too far away from the subject.
