The first pancake-type lens in the RF lens series, with a control ring and an overall length of just 24.7mm, this lens is so light and portable (approximately 120g) that it may almost seem as if no lens is attached to the camera. The use of three PMo aspherical lens elements allows it to deliver high image quality from the center to the periphery, while reducing the number of lens elements. The bright performance and powerful bokeh effect unique to single-focal-length lenses makes the subject stand out from the background, creating a strong three-dimensional impression. When used with an APS-C size camera, the focal length is approximately 45mm (35mm format equivalent), for pictures with a natural perspective similar to that of a standard lens.

Note: This lens is equipped with a focus/control ring that integrates the focus ring and the control ring.
