SAP is the leading supplier of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software to the world's largest corporations. The nature of SAP implementations is such that a significant amount of information is viewed and printed in a structured reporting format. In order to utilize the extended finishing capabilities inherent in the imageRUNNER/imagePRESS devices, a Device Type for the specified printer must be used.

Standard Device Types are also available for download on this website under third party integrated solutions for Office Products or under Enterprise Printing. Simply select Drivers and Downloads link from the left navigational bar on this page and click on the first zip file link.

Device Types support SAP R/3 version 3.0 or later for Form Printing.
Device Types support SAP R/3 version 4.5 or later for ABAP list printing.
Character Set supported is ISO Latin1.
OCR Font Support is included only for imageRUNNER devices with PCL drivers, not PS due to SAP standard.
The Device Types for Canon imageRUNNER devices give SAP customers the ability to leverage many of the paper handling and finishing capabilities inherent in the imageRUNNER devices.
SAP users will benefit from the high quality performance of the imageRUNNER as well as finishing features such as designating an input tray, determining page orientation, setting number of prints/copies, determining print mode such as duplexing and setting paper size.
SAP Standard Device Types support Barcode printing with Canon imageRUNNER devices equipped with the Barcode Printing Kit.

The extended Device Types support all of the functionality offered by the standard Device Types as well as staple, hole-punch, and output bin.
