RF50mm f/1.4L VCM - RF Lens World - Canon South & Southeast Asia

    RF50mm f/1.4L VCM

This is another in Canon’s series of large-aperture, single-focal-length lens that seamlessly link still photography and video shooting, for a new generation of visual imaging. The 50mm lens is versatile for various subjects from snapshots and landscapes to portraits. It combines sharpness at the point of focus with smooth bokeh effects in the background of images. This lens allows the user to fully enjoy the sense of distance from the subject that is unique to this angle of view often called “standard,” while offering sharp resolution and suppressed aberrations.

The optical system of the lens consists of a UD lens that effectively corrects chromatic aberration; and aspherical lenses including a Glass Moulded (GMo) aspherical lens and a replica aspherical lens elements to suppress spherical aberration and image distortion. This ensures excellent image quality. Furthermore, electronic floating focus control with a Voice Coil Motor (VCM) and nano USM provides fast, smooth, and quiet autofocusing, despite the bulky girth of this large-diameter lens.

The exterior of the lens is identical to the RF24mm f/1.4L VCM and RF35mm f/1.4L VCM. All measure approximately 99.3mm in length and weigh around 500g. In addition to providing a consistent “feel”, this design makes it easier to switch lenses in the field, and easy to adjust when switching lenses and shooting videos with gimbals. Since the filter diameter of these lenses is also standardized, users can employ the same ø67mm filter even when it is necessary to change lenses.
