Up to 6 Stops Stabilisation
The RF-S10-18mm f/4.5-6.3 IS STM provides up to 4 stops of image stabilisation with its in-built Optical Image Stabilizer.
When used with compatible cameras that have In-Body Image Stabilizer, the Coordinated Control IS achieves up to 6 stops of image stabilisation, perfect for those handheld low-light shots that usually require a tripod.
Full-Frame and APS-C
The lens is designed to work across the EOS R system, whether on a full-frame* or an APS-C camera, providing greater versatility.
When used with both APS-C and full-frame cameras, the effective focal length of the RF-S10-18mm f/4.5-6.3 IS STM is 16-29mm (full-frame equivalent). This makes it suitable for everyday snapshots and self vlogging.

Stable Video Recording
Get smooth natural looking video recording even while walking with the powerful coordinated stabilisation between the Optical Image Stabilizer and Movie Digital IS.
Focus Breathing Correction
When recording videos, a typical phenomenon that occurs is a 'pulsing effect' in the footage whereby the camera's angle of view changes slightly during focus racking. The RF-S10-18mm f/4.5-6.3 IS STM addresses this by compensating for the change in field of view when the focus point is changed, resulting in seamless video recording.
Wide and Up-Close
Get a one-of-a-kind perspective when you can go up-close with an ultra-wide angle lens at a 10mm focal length. This unique combination allows you to achieve an immersive depiction of the subject for your viewers with magnification of up to 0.5x*.

Canon's unique leadscrew-type stepping motor (STM) provides a smooth and quiet autofocus operation that is especially useful during movie recording.
Dual Function Ring
Canon's distinctive knurled control ring allows you to customise it to change settings such as exposure compensation, ISO, shutter speed or aperture. The control ring also doubles as a focus ring.
UD Lens
