Canon Unveils Next-Generation A4 Laser Printers to Empower Small Businesses and Large Offices with Superior Performance

SINGAPORE, 23 June 2023 — Canon today announced the launch of its newest series of laser printers tailored specifically for small businesses and large offices. The new line-up includes the imageCLASS LBP243dw, LBP246dw, LBP248x, MF461dw, MF465dw, and MF469x, which offer a range of monochrome single function and multifunction printers to cater to diverse printing needs.
Superior Print and Scan Speed
The imageCLASS LBP246dw, LBP248x, MF465dw and MF469x deliver exceptional quality and swiftness, with speeds of 40 pages-per-minute (ppm) for quick and efficient document printing. When printing in A5, the printers can also churn out documents at up to an impressive 65 ppm. At the lower end of the scale, the imageCLASS LBP243dw and MF461dw are affordably priced, and can easily print up to 36 ppm in A4.
All models in the series are equipped with automatic duplex printing, reducing paper consumption for sustainability and also helping businesses save costs.
All three multifunction printers are equipped with a 50-sheet capacity Automatic Document Feeder (ADF), capable of fast single-pass scanning and digitising two-sided documents effortlessly at up to 100 images per minute (ipm) in monochrome and 80 ipm in colour. The ADF feature empowers businesses to digitise and manage vast amounts of paperwork swiftly and efficiently.
Versatile Connectivity and Enhanced Security
Canon's laser printers are designed to blend seamlessly into modern office environments. Equipped with ethernet and wireless connectivity, users can enjoy wireless printing from mobile devices and facilitate network printing for shared use in offices. The versatile connectivity capability ensure flexibility and convenience, catering to the evolving needs of small businesses and large offices.
The new printers are also productivity enablers for businesses as they are connected to cloud solutions, with support for Google Drive, Dropbox and OneDrive for printing and scanning. Enterprises with a Microsoft Azure subscription can also enjoy seamless connectivity with Microsoft Universal Print support.
Data communication between printer and host devices is protected with enhanced security features, including TLS 1.3 to eliminate data eavesdropping and spoofing. On top of that, the Verify System at Startup authentication process also reinforces the integrity of the printing architecture in offices, preventing tampering or unauthorized modifications.
Ease of Use for Seamless Operation
The imageCLASS LBP248x and MF460 series are equipped with 5-inch colour LCD touchscreen with Application Library support. The Application Library feature offers the convenience to register shortcut buttons for frequently used applications and functions. In addition, the 5-inch colour LCD touchscreen allows users to move icons and features via drag-and-drop mechanism on the home screen, creating quick access to frequently used functions to enhance workflow efficiency and save time.
Easy Maintenance and Cost-effectiveness
The optional 550-sheet paper feeder can be added to increase the printer’s total input capacity to 900 sheets to meet demands for large print volumes when business expands. To enhance cost-effectiveness and minimise downtime, all models utilise the new Toner Cartridge 070, which offers a yield of up to 3,000 pages1. The printers are also compatible with Toner Cartridge 070H, providing an extended yield of up to 10,200 pages1. The additional paper feeder and high-yield toner cartridge option allows users to effortlessly handle large print volumes without frequent interruptions for paper and cartridge replacement.

The latest imageCLASS LBP240 series and MF460 series will be available at authorised Canon distributors and dealers from June 2023 onwards.
