SINGAPORE, 30 October 2023 — Canon announced today the imageFORMULA DR-S250N, an A4 network desktop scanner engineered to meet high volume batch scanning needs of small businesses and workgroups. Operating the DR-S250N over a network improves and enhances resource sharing workflows for large offices, boosting productivity for key sectors such as education, logistics, finance and healthcare.
Hassle Free Operation without Software Installation
The seamless integration with CaptureOnTouch Lite Web is one of the key features of the DR-S250N. This new scanning utility elevates ease of access by allowing users using any web browser1 to perform scan operations. Setup efficiency for multiple users in large offices is also improved, as, system administrators no longer need to install device drivers or software on every connected laptop.
The added convenience of ChromeOS compatibility and Mopria certification also allows more mobile platforms and devices to connect and scan, allowing the capabilities of the DR-S250N to shine in smaller workgroups.
Outstanding Performance for Productivity
For advanced users, the DR-S250N is also bundled with the industry-leading CaptureOnTouch V5 Pro software. The latest iteration of this scanning utility features advanced processing, superb colour and text enhancement, and is capable of delivering sharp and clear images up to an impressive 1,200 dpi resolution. Stacks of documents can be sorted into different files by using barcode separators or specific keywords, while scanned documents can also be saved directly into Excel or Word formats.
The compact footprint of the imageFORMULA DR-S250N masks a powerful scan engine, pushing quality scans at speed of up to 100 ipm2, with a feeding capacity of up to 60 sheets in a single batch. For the first time in the imageFORMULA lineup, the DR-S250N also integrates a 1.5” x 1.5” monochrome electroluminescence (EL) screen that improves visibility, and guide users with “how to” instructions and “tips” to get the best out of the machine.
Versatile Connectivity for Hybrid Workspace
The DR-S250N is poised to drive productivity as more work processes become integrated with cloud services. Google Drive, Dropbox and Microsoft OneDrive, as well as other collaboration tools such as Microsoft Sharepoint and TEAMS folder are supported. With increasing emphasis on security, the DR-S250N also supports scanning to SFTP, allowing additional data encryption during data transmission to prevent unauthorized access.

The latest imageFORMULA DR-S250N will be available at authorized Canon dealers from November 2023 onwards.
