This multi-purpose camera packs a Super 35mm CMOS image sensor with approx. 8.29 effective megapixels into a compact body. Small and lightweight, it can be easily used with drones and gimbals, or combined with peripherals to form various shooting systems. Supporting ISO speeds of up to ISO 204800, it uses DIGIC DV4 to produce beautiful images. And with Canon’s Dual Pixel CMOS AF system, not only is smooth, super quick AF possible, Continuous AF which allows AF tracking of moving subjects is also supported.

Features
High Image Quality and High Sensitivity
High quality Full HD video is possible thanks to the 8.29MP effective pixel, Super 35mm CMOS image sensor. ISO speed can be set as high is ISO 204800, and the DIGIC DV4 processor, known for its high arithmetic processing capacity, provides suppression to the occurrence of colour artefacts, moiré, and jaggies. Minimum subject illumination of 0.015lux or less* is realized. The camera also uses Canon Log, which has a wide dynamic range of approx. 12 stops, and Wide DR gamma, giving it the versatility to handle a variety of lighting conditions, from dim, lowlight scenes to high contrast daytime ones.

Small and Lightweight Body
With its strong and rigid body through the use of magnesium panels, the camera is also straightforward in design and compact (113mm deep excluding protrusions). Suitable for usage on drones due to its light weight of approx. 1kg, it includes 3G / HD-SDI, HDMI and remote terminals – LANC and RS422. Whether you're shooting wild animals from a distance, or capturing dynamic skyscapes, you can be assured of high definition performance.
A Wide Range of AF Shooting Possibilities with Dual Pixel CMOS AF
The camera uses a Cinema EF lock-type mount, allowing compatibility with the vast EF lens and EF Cinema lens lineups including the range of Cine-Servo lenses (with the use of the 12-pin lens terminal). From wide-angle lenses to telephotos, as well as fast lenses with apertures widest at f/1.2, a broad range of lenses are available to meet your various shooting needs. The AF system uses Dual Pixel CMOS AF, allowing for smoother, speedier establishment of focus compared to the usual contrast AF system. Continuous AF is also available for shooting fast moving subjects while keeping the focus in the middle of the screen
