The Canon PRINT Inkjet/SELPHY app connects your mobile device wirelessly to your PIXMA printer to print, scan and copy. It also works as a portal to manage your printer settings and monitor your printer status for a seamless printing experience.

Available On

Photo Print

For iOS

Applicable for iPhone® / iPod touch® / iPad® devices.

  1. Open the Canon PRINT Inkjet/SELPHY app and tap “Photo Print”.
  2. Tap to select your photos for printing.
  3. Select your appropriate print settings and tap “Print”.
  4. Printing in progress!

For Android™

For users of Android OS mobile devices that support Near Field Communication (NFC), you can make use of the PIXMA Touch and Print* function to print.

  1. Open the Canon PRINT Inkjet/SELPHY app and tap “Photo Print”.
  2. Tap to select your photos for printing.
  3. Select your appropriate print settings and tap “Print” or tap* your smartphone to the printer for NFC printing.
  4. Printing in progress!

*Device must be running on Android 4.4 and above, and supports the NFC function
NFC must be enabled on compatible printer models before using this function.

Document Print

For iOS

Applicable for iPhone® / iPod touch® / iPad® devices
Illustrations below reflect the Document Print function on an iOS phone.
MS Office documents can be transferred from PC/Mac®using Apple iTunes® software and saved locally on the mobile device. The optimised layout mode is not available in certain countries or regions, and may not appear in the menu if a compatible printer has not been configured for use with the app.

  1. Open the Canon PRINT Inkjet/SELPHY app and tap “Document Print”.
  2. Tap to select your documents for printing.
  3. Select your appropriate print settings and tap "Print".
  4. Printing in progress!


For Android™

For users of Android OS mobile devices that support Near Field Communication (NFC), you can make use of the PIXMA Touch and Print* function to print.
Document printing function available for Android 3.0.0 and above.
The document-print icon may not appear in the menu if a compatible printer has not been configured for use with the app.
Function is not available in certain countries or regions, and when document-print icon does not appear in the main menu.

  1. Open the Canon PRINT Inkjet/SELPHY app and tap “Document Print”.
  2. Tap to select your documents for printing.
  3. Select your appropriate print settings and tap "Print", or bring* your smartphone to the printer.
  4. Printing in progress!

*Device must be running on Android 4.4 and above, and supports the NFC function
NFC must be enabled on compatible printer models before using this function.

Scan From

For iOS

Applicable for iPhone® / iPod touch® / iPad® devices
Prior to scanning, remember to save your documents. Now begin scanning!

  1. Open the Canon Print Inkjet/SELPHY app and tap “Scan”.
  2. Select your settings and choose to scan as a PDF or JPEG file.
  3. Preview your scanned layout.
  4. Save your scanned document or print it.


For Android™

For users of Android OS mobile devices that support Near Field Communication (NFC), you can make use of the PIXMA Touch and Print* function to print. Before scanning, make sure you save your documents.

  1. Open the Canon Print Inkjet/SELPHY app and tap “Scan”.
  2. Select your settings and choose to scan as a PDF or JPEG file, or just tap* your smartphone to the printer.
  3. Preview your scanned layout.
  4. Tap “Print” or tap* your smartphone to the printer for NFC printing.

*Device must be running on Android 4.4 and above, and supports the NFC function.
NFC must be enabled on compatible printer models before using this function.

Copy From

For Mobile Devices

Applicable for iOS and Android devices.
Illustrations below reflect the Copy function on an iOS phone.
Before your set up, make sure your selected PIXMA printer has the Copy function.

  1. Place your document on the scanning platen glass.
  2. Open the Canon PRINT Inkjet/SELPHY app and tap “Copy”.
  3. Select your Copy settings and tap “Black Copy” or “Color Copy”.

Camera Scan

For Mobile Devices

Applicable for iOS and Android devices.

  1. Open the app and tap “Capture” to capture image of your document.
  2. Adjust/Confirm content to be cropped and tap “Next”.
  3. Preview cropped image and tap “Done”.
  4. Select “Print” to print your camera scan.

Web Print

For Android™

For users of Android OS mobile devices that support Near Field Communication (NFC), you can make use of the PIXMA Touch and Print* function to print.

  1. Open the web browser. Select Canon PRINT Inkjet/SELPHY app under share page.
  2. Preview your web page and tap "Print".
  3. Choose your print range and tap "OK".
  4. Select your appropriate print settings and tap "Print" or tap* your smartphone to the printer for NFC printing.

*Device must be running on Android 4.4 and above, and supports the NFC function.
NFC must be enabled on compatible printer models before using this function.

Disc Label Print

For Mobile Devices

Applicable for iOS and Android devices.
Illustrations below reflect the Disc Label Print* function on an iOS phone.
*Disc Label Print must be downloaded from Apple App Store and Google Play Store and is applicable only on TS9170, TS8170 and TS8070.

  1. Open the app and register the printer that supports this app.
  2. Tap to select the desired template.
  3. Select the size of the inner diameter for the print area.
  4. Enter the text and tap “Print”.

PIXMA/MAXIFYCloud Link

For Mobile Devices

Applicable for all iOS, Android and Windows RT devices.
Before your set up, make sure you have an account with your selected Cloud service!
PIXMA/MAXIFY Cloud Link enables you to print photos and documents from your mobile device.

  1. Open the Canon PRINT Inkjet/SELPHY app and tap “Cloud”.
  2. Log in to your Canon Inkjet Cloud Printing Centre account and select the app to print photos or documents from (i.e. Dropbox).
  3. Tap to select your file.
  4. Select your settings and tap “Print”.
