Exclusive optical design technology delivers overwhelming optical performance for 2/3-inch 4K cameras. These lenses provide superior resolution and tonal gradation demanded of 4K images and control aberrations with precision, including colour blurring and colour fringing. They provide high 4K resolution and contrast from the centre of the image to the periphery throughout the zoom range.
Optical performance is maintain for 4K cameras even when using the built-in 2x extender.
Minimal Fluctuating Abberations & Variations
A multi-group zoom system and floating focus system suppress fluctuating aberrations caused by zooming and focusing. The optimal arrangement of aspherical lenses and glass with high refractive power ensures consistency, with no optical performance change from the image's centre to the edges throughout the zoom range.
New advancements in the inner focus system are used to improve resolution in image peripheries by suppressing focus fluctuations.
Suppresses Ghosting Flaring and Chromatic Abberation
Coating and reflection suppression inside the lens barrel surface reduce ghosting and flaring, providing outstanding visual expression with rich gradation ideal for HDR and WCG shooting.Optimal configurations of fluorite and UD glass provide excellent aberration correction.
This setup achieves beautiful images with no colour blurring or tinting along the edges and outstanding colour reproduction in every corner.
Operability
Following the operability and systematicity of conventional broadcast lenses and the Digital Drive Unit, servo controllability has been improved to better track camera operators' wishes for high-quality shoots. An information display on top of the Drive Unit improves camera operator visibility.

The highly versatile USB Type-C connector provides support functions for equipment setup during preparation and maintenance in preparation for shooting.
