Solution
Follow this procedure to send a fax from your computer. Make sure that the fax driver is installed. To check if the driver is installed, see Installing the software using Network connection and Installing the Software using USB connection.
NOTE
How to display the print screen or items on the screen may vary depending on your application and/or OS.
From an open document on an application, click [File] → [Print].
Select the fax icon ([Canon MF4200 Series (FAX)]), then click [Print] or [OK].
NOTE
If you want to adjust the fax properties, click [Preferences] or [Properties] and adjust the settings.
Specify the name and fax number in [Sending Settings], then click [Add to Recipient List].
NOTE
If you want to send a fax with a cover sheet, click the [Cover Sheet] tab and set the format for the cover sheet attachment.
Click [OK] in the Fax Sending Settings.
