MS-500

The MS-500 is Canon's first advanced surveillance camera equipped with an ultra-high-sensitivity Single-Photon Avalanche Diode (SPAD) sensor and developed for surveillance with clear colour videos of day and night at distances of several kilometres or more.

  • High sensitivity SPAD sensor
  • Full colour imaging in extreme low-light
  • B4 mount to support Canon broadcast lenses

Ultra-high Sensitivity SPAD Sensor

Recording with lesser noise

The MS-500 is Canon's first technologically advanced security camera, designed for surveillance at distances of up to several kilometres and capable of recording videos in crystal-clear colour both day and night.

In contrast to the traditional CMOS sensor, the SPAD sensor measures brightness by digitally counting each incoming light particle (or photon) using a process known as photon counting.

Canon Broadcast Lens Compatible

The B4 mount on the MS-500 makes it compatible with Canon's extensive range of broadcast lenses, including those that offer both high image quality and high magnification ultra-telephoto zoom.

Long-Range Surveillance in Dark Conditions

Advanced Surveillance
Seaport/Coast
Border
Infrastructure

Emergency response is required 24 hours a day, seven days a week for security and accidents or disasters.

  • Surveillance of seaports and coastlines
  • Surveillance of abnormalities near borders
  • Surveillance of public infrastructure facilities and critical facilities

These are difficult-to-shoot scenes that requires recording from an extreme distance. The MS-500's newly created ultra-high-sensitivity SPAD sensor and the extensive selection of high-magnification, ultra-telephoto zoom broadcast lenses from Canon make it possible to shoot such difficult scenes.

Intuitively Designed

Rugged box-style design with a rear panel for camera operation that includes professional connectivity.
